The movie itself as far as acting goes is very good, the quailty of the movie is also very good. As for being true to the original book it falls short of following it. There are major parts that are left out, no interacting with the space gill at as though they didn't exist at all. Overly heavy infusion of muslin religion detracted from the movie as well. The time line in part 2 had been dramatically change, not a good thing to do. There are many other major changes I disagree with that weren't in line with the book , not even close to it no wonder it was short live in the theaters.
