although wasn't a flop by any stretch, this game is still criminally underrated, it touches on so much sensitive subjects (some more accurate than others) and it got THE best gameplay in AC series (heresy right?), story-wise, the journey isn't that great but the climax of it and the conclusion was so good it redeems the rest of the story, the ending was a love letter for any long time AC fan, also, ai would like to touch on the game mechanics and how they complement the settings and story of the game, it was a match made in heaven, also the game technical performance is spotless, i played the game on a mid-range PC and on steam deck, in both i was pleasantly surprised.

whether you're a Yakuza fan or not, this game could be for you, the great thing about Judgment is that it irons almost all the kinks existed in previous Yakuza games (and JRPG's at that), it simply got less fluff and more lean quests and content, much better feeling combat with meaningful skill tree, and as all other entries in the series a great story to play through that is worthy of a real good TV crime drama. now of course i'm not saying it is perfect (nothing really is), the thing is everything that is already in yakuza 0 for example is done much better here, BUT, the new content that is exclusive to this particular game simply wasn't as good, investigations were put just for show and the player has no weight in their outcome at all, long recurring tailing sequences and chases that are merely QTE's. now to put it simply, this is a better yakuza game than yakuza and i just can't get into what really make it great without spoiling a huge chunk of it. although i haven't finished the game yet I do strongly recommend Judgement...

to say the game is underrated will put the game in the second tier, this game does not deserve that, if the PS4 version turned you off it do yourself a favor and try the next gen version (or PC which is the definitive way to experience it), the gameplay loop is addictive made of finely interconnected pieces, the atmosphere is impeccable, the graphics are top notch (actually if you want to show off your PC to someone this is the game to do it), the story feels like a good TV show with decent twists and turns, the combat is demanding, smooth and fun to experience as its fun to watch , I can't even scratch the surface of how good this game is without writing a very long and tedious review, buy the game and thank me later.
