Loved this. Am old and literally lived this. All very well done, including the sex scenes, which are explicit AND not at all gratuitous. I particularly appreciate there is a believable lesbian character who is impacted by McCarthyism and other manifestations of bigotry. What we do not see is that back in the day, it was often lesbians who took care of the gay men who were getting sick. I forgive the showrunners though. The only bad part about this show is that after watching an episode — particularly that last one — I had dreams that I was back in the bad old days. And I tended to wake up in the wee hours and google exes and old friends to see if they survived. (They did not.)
