I am grateful for Judith's review as it opens the view into the reasoning behind the heartbreaking "slow fade" of Klara. Still i find it hard to accept that Klara would simply be discarded like a spent, broken vacuum cleaner, in the Yard. What? Really? Ishiguro shows real joy and kindness toward Klara from her owners, yet ultimately they cast her aside. I find it hard to fathom.
We, as humans, collect and gather sentimental items of far lesser importance than a likely, extremely expensive AF, into our lives, and hold them dear. Never to let them go! Thank you for the wonderful review, my temporal overloaded motherboard has regained balance and equanimity.
