Devastated. I read Past Tense on holiday and became addicted. I then started to read every Jack Reacher story in order finding them hard to put down as the story was so gripping. Be the end of each book l couldn’t wait to start the next episode as Jack hitchhiked across America with his out of date passport and toothbrush, waiting to see who was going to suffer his wrath as the crossed his path . Like all things in life I feel this has come to an end after reading Better of Dead . I struggled to continue reading but due to my OCD of having to finish what I start I carried on . Countless times I was hit in the face by my kindle as I fell asleep reading it , something that has never happened before . I found it so lame and so not like Jack Reacher , the ending as disappointing as the rest of the book . It felt like Jack Reacher was not Jack Reacher , like he had been replaced by a stand in . ( People slag Tom Cruise off for his role as Jack Reacher but at least I can say I enjoyed the movies , I really can’t say I enjoyed this book )
