The thing I have never understood about this case is why the US authorities didn't put her into custody immediately. Witnesses and evidence put her at his house in the park and even if she ran back home to Iowa those police agencies must have had enough probable cause to pick her up for questioning and hold her for like 72 hours. This was such a FUBAR from the start it isn't even funny.
