After reading the review of the critics, of course I totally ignored them and went to see the film as soon as I could! I was incredibly happy and thankful that I did and that I was finally able to see Ben Platt as Evan.........when we saw it on Broadway it was post his time so this was to me just a treat. .He was absolutely amazing and is an incredibly gifted and talented actor/vocalist. He owns this role and it totally shows. I also thought the movie overall captured and expressed the deeper meaning of the movie's messages. It was emotional and even though I have heard the soundtrack a million times and saw it on Broadway and obviously knew what was coming, I still chocked up and got emotional like seeing it for the very first time. Worth seeing ,,,,and if you are a fan of the musical it's a must-see!
