Beautifully shot, but rather too much medieval symbolism thrown in for my taste, and some of the dialogue is inaudible. Good music by and large, but too much of it. The plot does not strictly follow the original poem and I was confused by the various accents. On the plus side, the cinematography and the locations create a suitably spooky and weird atmosphere as befits the material. For all my reservations I’m glad I saw it.
