If it was possible to give negative rating for a show, I would have done that. Yet another attempt from the house of Balaji to white wash a sick and horrendous tradition of our patriarchal society. And the irony is that it has two women producers and is promoted as a woman centric show. It makes no attempt to show anything about the harsh and cruel realities of the molki practice; quite the opposite, it romanticizes it! And just when you think it cannot become worse, apparently there is a rape and the victim actually decides to marry the rapist, as if that is the solution. I have nothing to say against the actors. But isn't it high time that a successful production house such as Balaji stops wrapping societal malaise in rose petals and serving it to the audience. But then again, why do we as an audience watch such shows and let them get high TRPs. The question is -- does society need to change before such shows do or will good shows bring about a change in the society?
