Slow, poorly edited and tiresome film. It espouses a politics against "Love Jihad" and that is where the film is at its strongest. But the main theme is just a repetition of the formula, typical of Bollywood, to show a fantasy of how an ordinary orphan can win-it-all with dedication and hard work. The abject moralization can get on your nerves and you can anticipate the film from first 30 minutes. Parmar (another reviewer) who is not stopping to praise this film presents a classic example of romanticization of the slum and how it can come in the mainstream just by "hard work". The worst part of the film is the pace, poor editing and lack of sharpness. Farhan Akhtar deserves full praise for powerful acting but actors cannot change a poor script as film-making is about story-telling and not about how you transformed your physique so well.
