In a weird way this reminds me of The Ritual. Fascinating.

Absolutely fun to watch even for people like me who have very little knowledge on DnD. The idea of fantasy and action plus a but of humor was enough to hook me in. The story was really good too! I’m not surprised because I imagine a lot of creative storytellers dwell in this lore-heavy world. This film had a vibrant world, production really was spot on with their sets, locations, practical effects and cgi. The action fights were really satisfying at the end. Plus, I found each character to be so fun to be invested it. My only regret was not watching this as soon as it came to HBOGo because it really is a great film to watch with friends and family!

It's an entertaining film based on Neil Gaiman's book. I loved the visuals, the story, the cast, and the progression of the main characters' chemistry. Seeing the characters evolve throughout the film was so fun. I saw this as a kid and rewatched it now that I'm older and it still has the fantasy and whimsicallities I fell in love with.
