i really enjoyed this film rather blood thirsty in places but appreciated the realism of how things were back in the days of Romans , i found myself thinking how long i would have survived .I admired Marcus and his loyalty to the cause in finding the Eagle .! i loved the reenactments of the villages and the dining conditions and the sheer basic behaviour needed in order to survive .This film certainly shattered my niave thinking of all Romans bathing /walking on mosaic floors /and eating grapes lying down , I would recommend this film but not for children .

An absolutley spellbinding show , i loved it fell in love with the characters ,all the actors were superb ! i am hoping there might be a series six created somehow .

I have loved Elton John all my life , every song evokes a special memory of my life .Enjoyed the film very much the vibrancy and performances were outstanding ,we were talking about this film for ages afterwards which i think is always a good sign of a good memorable film !
