Like the majority of americans, I was taught several things about communism and all of them were negative. However, eventually it was brought to my attention that everything I was taught was based on hearsay, hyperbole, and bias opinions which weren’t based on fact. Having this brought to my attention peaked my curiosity and so I read this book. I'm incredibly grateful that I did read this book because it enabled me to break away from the right wing hysterics commonly taught in the whole of the United States and gain some much needed perspective and understanding about the ideals and goals of communism.
