Fun show with some sad spots. A nice diversion from the usual species focus format. It's clear from some of the other reviews that certain people took it a bit too seriously. I see it as someone having an idea on how to document an event by using a relatable narrative, and they did a pretty good job at pulling it off imo. There are plenty of serious, science-focused documentaries out there in regard to Penguins, this is not one of them. If you go in understanding that, you might have a good time, like I did.
