Simple detective movie that doesn't make it interesting to go through the story as they are the ones hand holding you and showing you the ending. They literally only introduce the villain at the end, meaning any suspicions had before are useless. And the ending is just the basic student grows up, except they never showed anything hinting that till the end.

Excluding the end of the movie, it was a wonderful movie. If they had actually made a proper ending, I would have actually given it 5 stars. But the ending is so gut wrenchingly bad, it destroys the whole experience for me. The movie is about how 2 nationalists meet in their own scenarios and how they together fight the British. The beginning wonderfully portrays the characters of the main characters. In the middle of the movie, there is a British girl who is unbiased towards the Indians despite being raised in a family where every single other person is conceited. She is also no better as she cares for a slave but does not think of actually helping her when her family was the one who made the little girl a slave. At the end, the movie goes from logic and just becomes pure Bollywood Machoism. Don't misunderstand me, I like Bollywood Machoism, but if the premise of the whole movie is to be a serious movie, why are we now relying on Machoism. It's like if Rocky then turned into a comedy movie where the opponent no longer knows how to box. Here, the British commander who lead several successful wars doesn't know how to shoot a gun despite being shown to be a master marksman in life and death situations. There are better serious movies, as well as movies that use Bollywood Machoism better, but this movie just makes a mess with the two of them. It's only attractive point is the fact that it has a lot of amazing CGI in it that makes it a feast for the eyes.

I loved this movie. The beginning might be boring as they try to introduce each of the characters through their own little backstory, but this helps understand the interplay of characters later on. Brad Pitt is a natural in this movie. He starts the movie off immediately in a way that stops us from taking the movie seriously. And that's what this movie is. Pure fun and comedy with little to no seriousness. If you're looking for a serious movie about introspection or emotional growth or anything those Oscars look for, this is not it. But if you want a movie that'll entertain you throughout the run time, this is the movie. Lately, there have been very few movies that do this properly. They either try to be serious and fail, or try to combine seriousness and comedy but fail at both.

This is the exact opposite of whatever a Rajamouli film is, and I love it. Rajamouli movies are known for their over the top graphics and action, but with a subpar story behind them. Bahubali had amazing graphics and well choreographed fight scenes, as well as characters who can't think for themselves. RRR had an amazing fight choreography and beautiful dances, but also a villain who is hyped the whole movie, but turns out to be dumber than a child. This movie is the exact opposite. The graphics are horrible, the camera motion is needlessly shaky at times, the music doesn't match and even the props used don't look good. But the story is amazing. The story is gripping and the only thing that holds my attention. If you watch movies for the story, you'll love this movie.
