Having worked with honey bees for over 50+ years, and read many books and articles about honey bees and beekeeping, I was pleased to read Albert’s delightful book about a special part of honey bee biology, the “divisions of labor” and the social aspects of a honey bee colony. This book is a good read for anyone who wants an introduction to honey bee biology before taking up the hobby of beekeeping. The delightful animations and names given to each honey bee division of labor is a wonderful way for young and veteran beekeepers to learn more about how a honeybee colony is considered a “superorganism” All beekeepers should learn how to speak bee which will help the honey bees and “improve life within our human colony”.
