My family was impacted by the Family Foundation school when my brother was taken there against his will. I watched all three programs in a row staying up till 3am, it was helpful in a weird way to hear about the horrific impact on kids and their families, ours never fully recovered and it's now 25 years later. Unfortunately many parents can't move past the idea of 'I was trying to do the best' and years later even when confronted with the shut down of the school or suicides, and the addresses to Congress- it's so easy to dismiss these kids suicides because they were thought to be problems in the first place. So messed up, and there should be national regulations. For goodness sake, we used to have actual institutions for the mentally unwell and those don't even exist any more because people could be placed there against their will. I guess because these are minors, parents can do whatever they want, and allow untrained uncertified power trippers to destroy their child.
