SPOILERS! Likes: I think Ewan does a great job for the most part, he is really the only thing that will keep me curious about the show. As far as the narrative I really like a lot of the direction with Ben being conflicted about his past and dealing with ptsd! Great production values but thats to be expected considering the budget and it being Disney. Dislikes: However, they seem hell bent on changing pre established lore! I felt the inclusion of Leia is a bit forced (no pun). Some very cheesy poor choreographed scenes with action! Like the chase scene with Leia. Also when the 3rd sister is doing parkour it felt slow and clunky and not how a force user would move! Clearly the show is targeted for younger audiences and the show has to constantly explain everything out to me! The 3rd sister is pretty bad! And I feel she has a lot of potential as an actress but this performance for me is not captivating! She is not intimidating and any character that was genuinely intimidating (grand inquisitor) is killed off before can do anything! And ok obiwan learning that vader is still alive was unrewarding as there was a very huge lack of build up and the payoff feels somewhat rushed! This was a huge moment in the entire lore and it sort of just happens! And the fact the 3rd sister knows who Vader is with no build up or explanation felt out of place. I felt like they handed one of the most important parts of the lore to somebody who doesn't know Star Wars well enough! Which is a shame because I feel it shows through! Conclusion: All in all id say its mediocre at best atm! It is only 2 episodes in and already it feels Disneyfied! However I am prepared to give it a chance. Ill keep watching for now, solely due to Ewan and Hayden! But they have a rocky start snd if it continues on this trajectory then it pains me to say I wont be finishing it.
