Excellent. The characters, lives and location are all credible which makes it all the funnier. Those south of the border may need a translator but you soon pick it up.

Absolutely superb. Instead of binge watching, I am savouring every episode in 'real time' watching in the late evening. What a debut from a rookie writer, Tony Schumacer. Pity he had to have a break down and leave the job - but what a return on that pain and anguish. Martin Freemen is turning into a national treasure before our very eyes and he is supported by a strong, understated cast. This is Liverpool allright. Captured brilliantly
