lit little shrieky, squeaky precision-exacting, collective bitchslap for the anti shock & gag crowd. sublime homage to agatha christie, richard attenborough, william goldman's MAGIC* (ann-margret & sir anthony hopkins. filmed in the blue lakes, calif., partially, of all places); on track to erupt into a franchise legacy. pity so many reviewers take these things into account as if they could only actually SHUT UP and start making their own films. strange how more& more prop critters are becoming icons themselves. *marathon man, butch cassidy and the sundance kid, the princess bride[obey andre!], etc., .. this one's more than it seems. the humor's touch is it's cinematic art. if it's really blood you want, join the military, honey. they'll even pay you to spill as much as you've simply got to see. go get 'em!
