Sissu in April has less snow, but still offers beautiful scenic views and a peaceful vibe. • The nearby Gonbo Rangjon (Keylong side) is even more scenic and untouched, highly recommended. • Accommodation is limited—not many hotels, but you’ll find plenty of homestays that are simple and decent. ⸻ Snow Activities – Not Worth It in April • Snow activities are overpriced and underwhelming. • You cannot walk to the snow area—you’re compulsorily taken via zipline in both directions. • Activities include a basic tube ride and name-sake skiing, not really engaging or exciting. • The return zipline has long queues, and you’re made to walk a lot wearing the harness, which is tiring and uncomfortable. • Not suitable for families with kids or elderly travelers. • If snow is your main reason to visit, go before March—by April, most of it has melted and the experience isn’t worth the effort or money.
