I have been watching him in movies for years, his presence, his monologues have always been some of his stronger traits. He played such a quiet role in this, and by quiet I mean you could tell he was dead inside and pushing himself on, suffering every moment. As a father of 3 I connected instantly and at the end of the day that what movies, at least the good ones are meant to do. The movie connected on a lot of levels, solid sports movie, good redemption story, for me I connected with the father coping with the uncontrollable loss of a son and the marriage that dissolved from it. Hell of a performance
