Probably the best Burton movie in a while. His signature style fits perfectly with the story of a rejected mocked baby elephant in the circus.
The story take a different direction from the original which while safe, is very generic and predictable. The second Keatons character showed up, I accurately predicted the remaining 60% of the film's plot. I stayed for the visuals and music unique to Burton and Elfman. There are several nods to the original and the poignancy of a certain scene is still fealt.
CGI was impressive and displayed emotions to full effect. Acting in general was good, let down by very wooden child acting and a weak script. I enjoyed my time with it, but probably won't watch again.
