Meaningless and contrived. Beautiful concept and setting. Ridiculous writing. Felt like something written by a robot trying to relate to humans. The immersion is so weak because you can't believe any of the events or characters' behaviour. An infuriating waste of time. Re-watching any movie by studio Ghibli is a much more valuable investment.
