It’s an intriguing fiction about a beautiful Jewish actress and the trials of her abusive marriage to an arms dealer during WWII Austria. She then escapes and becomes a famous Hollywood star and towards the end of the book suddenly emerges as a scientist with no previous introduction of her interest in such matters. I find the book lacking in depth both in plot and characters development.
