Read the books years ago - loved them and was so excited to hear it was being made into a series. I have watched 8 episodes so far. I love the actors playing the parts - albeit I don't think Preacher is the right fit though compared to book, Tim M seems like a hunky doc compared to the one in the book and correct me if I'm wrong but I don't remember Hope and doc being married and separated for 20 years - but I do like their love-hate relationship in the show - makes it an interesting watch. Jack seems more subdued than the book - doesn't seem to fit the character/physique/embodiment like Preacher in the book either. Hope crass like the book but changes there as well. The biggest are the Jack-Charmaine line - totally cheapens the story with the pregnancy - very disappointed; and Mel's meltdown not shown. Series seems to be moving fast with the story lines. I get its a tv series and you need to get it all in. Would like to see all the Virgin River books made into this series but keep true to the books or you will lose viewers.
