Difficult to comment sensibly on the film as a whole. For me, it was ruined by the musical score which is a combination of ear-piercing whistles and high frequency sound alongside deep ominous drums. Even though I was wearing professional quality earplugs, I came away with tinnitus and at times had to cover my ears with my hands. The shouting of the strange dwarf-like commander who drills the young soldiers was also excruciatingly loud. If you need to protect your hearing I suggest you avoid this film.
