Very suspenseful. And as always, Emma Thompson is a joy to watch.

It’s very satisfying watching a woman, especially a black woman, kick ass and fight for the helpless. Especially after this last horrific US election. I love Viola Davis, period. Having said all that, give her movies that are more worthy of her immense talent.

I like it. Very glad to see a series take on the character and all those engrossing books. I love Aldis Hodge. He was so powerful in “Underground” a few years ago. I hoped I would see him in more high-profile roles. He has a big future. His eyes, alone, communicate volumes. Having said that, my vision of Alex Cross was of a bit older, more seasoned man. Someone in their 40s to early 50s with just a little grey at the temples. Mahershala Ali or Irdis Elba. Aldis is totally believable as a cop. I could also see him as a spy like in 007 movies. Or in Mission Impossible or The Black Panther. It might help to see a bit more of Cross’s background in psychology come through in this series. Maybe see him holding a therapy session with a private client. Or see him building a profile of the criminal.

I just watched the new doc about Céline Dion on Prime called “I Am Céline Dion”. So well done. It shows her as she is now with that hideous disease, Stiff Person Syndrome. But it also covers the scope of her life and shows some of her absolutely incredible singing performances. What really comes through is her deep joy in singing and how much she NEEDS it and the audience. Heartbreaking. But also beautiful. Highly recommend.

Very confusing plot. Too many characters. Very little actual drama or suspense except perhaps during major air battle scenes. It’s an erratic mess. I’ve seen four episodes and the only character I have any understanding of or feeling for is Buck Cleven played by Austin Butler. And even his character is two-dimensional. Pretty disappointed.

Very funny, well-acted and sweet. I miss it.

Great books. Poorly written show. Mediocre acting, as well. Sadly.

The acting was excellent. No surprise there. Candice Bergen stole the show. Not only because her acting was superb but because her character had purpose. She wanted an apology and compensation for what she felt was the betrayal of Meryl Streep’s character. The Queen Mary II gets my vote for runner-up best actress! I am not giving the film 5 stars because I felt Soderberg could have done more with these amazing actors.

Always love Clooney. But the plot lacked coherence. Too many unanswered questions that nagged at me while trying to reconcile the two plot lines. What exactly happened on earth? Augustine said it was a mistake. No doubt true. But I wanted some idea of what. It was also unclear how long the ship had been in space. Ten years? Twenty years? And the abrupt jump from the little Iris asking “Did you love her?” to the small building collapsing into water was confusing at best. It could have been more somehow.

Really enjoyed it. Especially the fact that it is based on a very satisfying true story. We need stories in which the good guys win and the bad guys lose BIG! Very enjoyable performances by Jamie Foxx, Tommy Lee Jones and the rest of the cast. I was very moved by how the story was linked to the unmarked graves of so many Black Americans.
