The director and the people in charge of lighting should never make anything again. You spend most of the time looking at your reflection because it's too dark to see anything.

To preface this, I absolutely love Soulsbourne games and have completed them all, so I thought this game which is different but similar (in the sense of insane difficuly) would be good. Sadly, this game was always a challenge, but it was rarely fun. I played through the whole thing as the lore was somewhat interesting. But you'll need to go watch a video to actually understand anything. I was between 100%-112% completion, but I just did not have any fun for the majority of the time playing, so I am stopping here. I don't think there was a single boss that was enjoyable. The game has a cult following and has one of the most toxic fanbases I have ever seen, so saying anything bad about it is seen as heresy to them, but this game just wasn't it. Still, kudos to the indie devs for putting together a somewhat decent game, it just wasn't for me, inflated difficulty due to poor design is no fun.

It is just amazing. The amount of effort put into the show is clear. The songs, the animation, the story, all so beautiful. Second watch through is even better.

VERY lazy animation and illustrations. They use a helmet to cover the mouth of one of the characters so they don't have to animate talking. The dragon in episode 1 is half shadows so they don't have to animate more than 50% of it. Background characters not moving at all. The writing is nonsensical. At the very start, the warrior guy just watches on during a big fight while thinking irrelevant thoughts and does nothing while his comrades get destroyed?? Also, they use japanese writing with no translations on some illustrations, such as the image of slime organs in ep 1. Not sure how this got such high reviews with how lazily done it is.

Not sure how there are so many bots posting positive reviews, this game is terrible. The only people who worked on this game who deserve any positive feedback are the character artists, the characters are absolutely beautiful. The rest is terrible. The people who worked on this should not be allowed near any game development in the future. Terribly empty world, a million boring minigames, Chadley is the most annoying character ever and you have to listen to him after any little thing done in the open world, the combat provides zero difficulty even on the hardest setting, just mash a few buttons and win, and Cloud has been butchered to be super PC as to try not ruffle any feathers. Zero passion. It is hard to play this game for more than an hour without getting drained. I went back and played the original FF7 and was instantly drawn in far better than this. It is truly sad what they have done to one of the best Final Fantasy stories.
