I enjoyed reading it but it did get to be anticlimactic in the end. I would still recommend reading it for an easy fun read. ***Spoilers ahead*** An enjoyable read, felt like some of the plot points at the end were only set up just before and weren't established too early on. While there is a good amount of plot that happens in real time in the book, a majority of the information is recounted from all of the characters memories, rather than them being read as flashbacks so we can recall information that is needed with the character, the character just recounts the information and tells us. I feel like if the characters were developed more with each other, there could've been more implementation of the apothecary and how it affects more people and others stories as well throughout the book but a lot of Nella we see in action was with 2 clients. The use of pages could've been managed better to focus on developing character through more interactions and conversations. I don't agree with the horrible reviews though, the flaws don't make it unreadable. I'm glad I read it, it was attempting to be whimsical yet grounded story and I admire the style.
