The Beverly Hills Cop was one of my favourite movies growing up, so I was looking forward to seeing it return with the original cast. What I got was...barely meeting expectations. It makes a nice Sunday afternoon movie if you have nothing better to watch, sadly. On the plus side you get the old cast, OST and pretty much the same script as in the previous movies - so if you're looking for nostalgia, the movie delicers. But for me it lacked a lot - no new ideas, but a very palpable lack of funny scenes besides just warmed up old content and winks at the old movies. If I compare this to the Top Gun remake, I see a lot of missed potential.
