Love Irvine Welshes work, initially read "Train Spotting" on a beach in Goa and enjoyed several other of his works with "Filth" being my all time favourite. I have recently been reading Jo Nesbo's "Harry Hole" detective series and am currently on book No.10. The "Irvine Welsh, Crime" series depicts Joe Nesbo's Harry Hole detective perfectly. Ok he's Scottish and not Norwegian but otherwise the character, his addictions, his browbeaten boss, his love life, work colleagues, dysfunctional family are all direct copies. Well done for getting this story from novel to television, from Scandinavia to Scotland, from Joe Nesbo to Irvine Welsh.
