a surprise gem indeed, as an adult I remained entertained throughout the show. John seemed to really enjoy himself and the child actors where irresistible and candid. fun and updated for the current generation.

Chaotic! that is the 1st word that comes to mind after just watching this movie. Adam Sandler's acting was impressive but overall the character development for everyone was shallow and confusing. His wife was the only character that made sense and was relatable. Why the almost constant yelling and non-sensical dialogue was hard to stomach. As a business man it's hard to imagine how he every started one since his decision making skills are questionable always even as a degenerate gambler. in real life would so many people still lend him money after his name is mud in the city??? Doesn't make sense at all how many different loan sharks he is running from. Also why would you cancel a bet? I was shaking my head on that one.
The scene with the Weekend was a waste of time and could have shortened the movie by 25 minutes.
The ending was a left turn but oddly right considering "his bad luck" . Can't win even when he does. Overall do not recommended this movie unles you have finished all the good movies on the list.
