I agreed and reiterate what Becky Honeycutt wrote entirely. I could hardly wait to see this movie so much so I talked my husband into taking me to the first show on the Friday it opened. Thankfully they nixed the Sasha Baron Cohen idea. Would never have been believable to me. Rami captured the inexplicable energy that Freddie had. Audience applauded as if it was a concert. So did the boys in the band capture the Essence of Queen. However the one thing I I wanted to know was more about him as a boy. His relationship with his Dad was only touched upon. Adored by his family for sure, he absolutely moved in the world knowing he was loved enourmosly by his family.
Mike Meyers was a downer for me also. Although I suppose we do owe him for bringing Bohemian Rhapsody to the masses,so to speak-thus bringing Queen to the masses, but putting in the movie for a more than a cameo? Stopped me dead in my tracks. He probably was instrumental in making this movie , he is such a fan. Becky I appreciate your remarks. Freddie is exciting, his voice is from God. I watch Adam Rippon skate and feel similar to listening to Freddie. Does that make sense? Movie was great Live Aid scene was phenomenal! Actor playing Freddie Mercury , Rami is Oscar Worthy times 10 also actor playing Brian May phenomenal!
