The first season of Bad Sisters is an exciting, darkly humorous journey that captivates you from beginning to end. This series explores the intricate relationships of family, loyalty, and treachery while deftly balancing humor, mystery, and suspense. Rich, multifaceted performances bring the Garvey sisters, five inseparable siblings bonded by their common past and their affection for one another, to life, particularly Sharon Horgan, who excels as Eva, the eldest sister, who is shrewd and passionately protective. The narrative of the show centers on the dubious death of their violent brother-in-law, John Paul, and the subsequent inquiry. The narrative skillfully switches between past and present timelines as it develops, progressively exposing reasons, secrets, and the enduring ties that both strengthen and strain the sisters' relationships.

The psychological thriller Mothers Instinct has a compelling idea but a disjointed plot. It is set in a peaceful suburban neighborhood and revolves around Alice and Céline, two women whose lives are turned upside down by a terrible catastrophe involving their sons. The film touches on loss, remorse, and the extent we will go to in order to protect the people we love as it examines the close ties of friendship and motherhood. One of the best things about the movie is the performances. Their chemistry gives dimension to the increasingly strained interaction between them, as both stars portray complex, troubled characters in nuanced ways. You are kept interested by the gradual escalation of tension, and the movie does a respectable job of leaving you wondering until the very end.

I have 3 D’s for the film. Disappointing. Disastrous. Devastating.

What an absolute travesty to Singham’s legacy! Watching one of my all-time favorite movie characters, Singham, reduced to such mediocrity was nothing short of painful. In the first 40 minutes I managed to endure, the so-called "Lady Singham" entry (seriously, why?), and an endless parade of slow-motion walks were all we got. To top it off, the background score screamed “Singham” over a hundred times, desperately trying to create impact but only coming off as jarring. It felt like watching Iyer and Sodi from TMKOC, with the music doing all the heavy lifting to forcefully establish the scene. What a disappointment!
