I absolutely love Gex as I owned it originally on the 3DO. I played this trilogy on PS5 and didn't run into any bugs or crashes. The Carbon Engine emulation is nearly flawless. The original 2D platformer was my favorite but Gex 2 and Gex 3, which are 3D platformers, were also enjoyable despite the occasional camera issue. The extras also add value. The ability to save anytime, anywhere is fantastic for current gamers who may need to hop off on short notice and don't have time to grind multiple levels to find a save point (VHS tapes). The interview with the Gex voice, concept art, and promotional materials are also fun for a quick view but the quick save and ability to rewind gameplay up to a minute are really the most useful features. If you haven't had a chance to play Gex, especially the original Gex, I highly recommend this trilogy. I also recommend it for older gamers like myself who grew up in the 90s. As of today, this is the definitive way to play. Load times and audio are both superior than on my 3DO. You get the extras including the quick save and rewind. Finally, you get flawless gameplay with no slowdowns (like you see occasionally on the 3DO version and frequently on the PS1 version. 4.5/5. Highly recommend.
