Under written. Yasuke could have been a terrific anime if only they'd had the courage to spread it over 20-30 episodes. It felt rushed from the start which for me is a massive shame because all the characters were compelling. The way the story wove back to Yasuke's past made the resolution nice and neat, but not particularly satisfying as we didn't get enough time to get to know the characters. Mech/fantasy setting was good, animation was OK, voice acting was OK bordering on good. A wasted opportunity. Hopefully it'll get a second season and have some more resources thrown at it.

Pish from start to finish. Lazy in every conceivable way. Kids deserve more than this rubbish that asks so little of them and offers even less.
