When I purchased this book, I was hoping for a breakdown of the left's beliefs and reasons for implementing specific policies, and, to be frank, was preparing for this to be a dense, long read. Needless to say, I was in for a surprise the moment I opened this book. Where I was expecting a comprehensive, possibly drawn-out breakdown of the Democratic party's core beliefs, I was given a concise, easy to understand view into the average Democrat's mind. I feel that this book really gave me the knowledge and perspective I need to be an informed voter. Despite the book being biased toward the left, it did a good job of addressing some critiques and being fair towards the Republican party as a whole. I would thoroughly recommend this book to anyone and everyone, no matter where you lie on the political spectrum. 10/10
