This series has rich characters. The main character, David, uses his intelligence to out mannover the negative forces that might derail his academic goals. A gut wrenching plot based on the day to day stuggles of good people trapped in a cycle of poverty & violence, but never absent of hope, community and creativity. I can't wait for the next series.
