This is the game I never knew I wanted or needed, until I found it! As an Xbox player I never had a chance to play this game until it recently came to gamepass, and I’m so glad it did! I had recently played sleeping dogs for the first time (also a fantastic game), and at first the subtitles, art style, and combat were a bit off putting, however, I stuck with it and at the end of my time with it I had to stand up and applaud it! Why? You may ask........ First, the open world is the perfect size for the time I have for gaming at this point. It’s by no means the largest world, but it is densely packed with things to do. From saving citizens from gangs, playing old school sega arcade games, swinging for the fences at the batting cages, or bowling, every square inch of the map is filled with activities and interesting side quests. You can do as much or as little as you choose to. Secondly, the different fighting styles and abilities are some of the most fun and rewarding combat I’ve ever played in a video game. One minute you’re swinging patio tables like the hulk, and the next you’re breakdancing while kicking people’s faces off. It’s a very fun and unique combat system. Lastly, you may be wondering why I haven’t discussed the story yet. Well, it’s because rhe story is one of the best I’ve ever experienced in a video game. I wouldn’t dare give anything away, but the super serious and emotional main quest melds with side quests that are as insane as they are stupid in the best possible way. I’m sure most PlayStation players have enjoyed this series for years, but if you are an Xbox player, especially if you have game pass, go right now and download this gem!
