Kept track of ABC World New Tonight this evening, 23 minutes of commercials and only 7 minutes of content. At one point, after a commercial break, David Muir came back on for 6 seconds and then yet another commercial break. Although this program sheds some light on news-worthy stories, there is never any depth to said stories. If this is how I wanted my news, I would read the first sentence of any news article and it would be the same amount of information provided by Muir. It seems ABC is more concerned with pleasing their sponsors than they are their viewers. Viewership is down for this exact reason for Iโm not the only one to notice the annoyingly persistent commercials.
