For someone who hasn't read the manga beforehand, after finishing the movie, I was left a bit confused on what I just watched as the movies fast pace couldn't let me think as things were happening. But, after I got home, I did some research on what the movie/manga could mean, and all I can say is wow, this is one of the best movies I watched in recent memories.
For something so fast paced, it told a beautiful story about two friends interest for drawing, and the themes and messages the movie tried to convince were done very well. I liked the two interpretations of this movie ,one in which this could represent Fujimoto's personal life, or the other being that these two characters are a representation of Fujimoto's adoration for drawing manga. I also liked how this movie was a homage to the tragic attack of the KyoAni fire incident.
I dont want to spoil the movie, so all I could say is that this movie is really good and the twist event halfway was shocking, so go watch it for yourself. Honestly cant wait to watch it a second time and read the manga as well.
