Cute, funny, and keeps the spirit and charm of the books well, considering a slight paradigm shift. Acting is pretty good. Total's CGI is on point, and whoever coordinated the visuals for the truck crash into the house deserves a raise. Biggest compliment though, is it was good enough that I didn't mind the changes from the books. The movie was obviously tamed thematically (to allow more noticeable character development, kind of Disney's thing) but it transitioned between media rather gracefully.
