One of my favorite action films. I felt the story, set (the HMS Surprise!) and characters were.so authentic. No contrivance that makes the film feel like hollywood manufactured emotional nonsense. I would hope that Patrick O'Brian would have thought it served his stories well. Damn fine action movie!
