I read the books, which were amazingโฆ so you can imagine my disappointment when I watched this and it was trash. Netflix really missed the mark with this one. The character casting is awful. The โmagicโ scenes are poorly done special effects. The acting looks like itโs got no emotion, as if the director is feeding lines in between cuts. Overall not worth the time. The plot is far more intriguing, detailed, and well explained in the books.
