This movie seemed to try an depec a relevant music era mixed with street life mixed with good morals of family, business and friendship.... unfortunately it missed on most marks! For Denzel to take on a roll of such streetie and vulgarity after claiming he has been changed and called to the cloth leaves a bad taste in the mouth and a sharp note to the ears! I know non is perfect, and I'm no where near it, but come on guys..... its time to bring your A+ game and make movies with real substance that will make a difference to generations to come and the world at large!! Just my opinion.... so with that being said, the award goes to Wright! Always on point.... some new faces showed up, which is always good to see. I haven't seen the original movie that this one depicted, I don't think, (i've watched a lot of movies in my day) but I'll have to spend a few hours one day soon and check it out! I also enjoyed the Latin music street scene with the OG's doing there thing...
