I love this show and binge watched Season 1. The critics are wrong. There were a few gaps in the script early on with regard to some background details on how people survived without sight. That said, the viewer starts to piece together and understand how the people evolved and strengthened the use of their other senses and there are scenes where the sighted are not as competent as those who cannot see. The storyline is very interesting, the acting is great, the cinematography is beautiful and I cannot wait for season 2. Lastly, the villains are absolutely hateful...just what you want in your villains. I agree with the audience ratings and not the critics.

Outstanding, complex characters , difficult emotionally…and season 2 needed to resolve the story and to see justice being done.

It is painfully bad. I tried to watch the entire first season but had to stop 1/2 way through episode 9 of 10. The writing is horrific...unrealistic, searching for story and conflict to add depth and interest but failing miserably. The direction is amateurish and there are just too many examples to go into. But landing on another planet light years from earth and oh my..it’s just like earth and the atmosphere is just fine for breathing and the gravity...no problems. Oh yes...and the alien that they just leave standing there while they carry on a conversation and ignore while a strange rock starts speaking English to them? Oh please...someone cancel this show and spare the actors further embarrassment.
