Oh my god its genius. The movies just one big joke, i know everyones being like “this movie sucked!!” Cause of the ending BUT THEYRE FUCKING STUPID THEY JUST DONT GET WHAT IT WAS ABOUT!!! The ending is literally a play on the whole meaning of the movie. Arthur was this sick individual who needed help but instead he got put on a pedestal by everyone around him. His followers, other prisoners, the COPS (who literally egged him on to “admit” it was all just a show) AND HARLY. The only one who genuinely tried to help and understood was his lawyer, who everyone convinced him to fire, which when he did he got so much praise from everyone around him. The ending is supposed to show his reality, that he never really wanted to be joker, but other sick individuals followed him, so Arthur literally had nowhere to turn. He needed help, and everyone around him didn’t understand. Fuck everyone who didnt like this movie your all STUPID
