Darlings is such a toxic movie which tries to justify that instead of taking legal remedies against the domestic violence, killing him & getting away with that crime is easy!!! Shefali Shah's character in the movie is shown to be living freely without any guilt for killing her abusive husband with the help of a butcher! And that butcher is also living his life, doing the same job for years after assisting the criminal in the murder. And on top of all, the same butcher emerges to help Alia Bhatt (Shefali Shah's daughter) who is "innocently" trying to murder her abusive husband while trying to look cute! And during all this nonsense, the only thing police are shown to be concerned about is what is there to eat in the tiffin! The movie is indirectly trying to empower the people who already dont give a damn to our Indian law system! Darlings gives a message to the society that getting away with the crime of murdering abusive partner is EASIER than seeking legal remedies!
