I am completely floored by the other reviews I’ve read about this book. It was simply written and often juvenile in its context. I give it 2 stars simply because I had to finish it for the explanations. I was deeply disappointed not only by the simplistic writing and dialogue, lack of explanatory detail, and almost hallmark-like love stories, it was so much longer than it needed to be. I love historical fiction. This wasn’t it.
